Join us for a four-week, semi-private course exploring the basics of acrylic painting! We’ll cover all things acrylic, including brushes, paint, color theory, paint application, and so much more. This class is designed to give you all the tools you need in your artist’s toolbox to paint confidently.

We’ll work mainly with primary colors, but you’re welcome to bring other paints you have experience with. Acrylic painting is a valuable skill no matter what kind of art you focus on. It can be as slow or as quick a process as you like, and you can paint on almost any surface your heart desires.

New to painting? This class will build your foundation from the ground up. If you already paint and want to hone your skills, work faster and more accurately, and learn new techniques for mixing and applying paint, this class is for you too!

We’ll meet every Tuesday evening from 6–8pm for four weeks. The price covers all four sessions.

Dates: March 2, 9, 16, and 23

You’re welcome to bring your own materials, or we can provide a kit of artist-grade supplies for you. These supplies will last long after your class ends, so you can keep practicing and playing on your own between sessions.

The class kit includes:

  • 4 oz professional-grade acrylic paint in cadmium red, cadmium yellow, ultramarine blue, white, and black
  • Palette knife
  • Pad of watercolor/acrylic paper (30 sheets)
  • Two Holbein Gold brushes

After registering, you’ll receive an email with a course outline and a list of suggested supplies for anyone bringing their own. Please email Teresa Pruitt at tmpruitt@vinoandvangogh.net with any questions.
