Stitch by Stitch: Embroidery Basics & Beyond(4-Week Beginner Workshop)

Curious about embroidery but not sure where to start? Join us for this four-week beginner workshop and learn the foundational skills you need to create beautiful embroidered projects by hand.

Throughout the series, you'll explore a variety of essential embroidery stitches, learn how to add beads and decorative embellishments, and discover techniques for creating texture, detail, and personality in your work. Each week will build on the last as you gain confidence with new tools, materials, and techniques. Don't worry, we will cover how to finish your pieces too so that they last a lifetime!

We'll cover:
• Basic embroidery stitches and how to use them
• Stitch placement, pattern transfer, and fabric preparation
• Beading and decorative embellishments
• Tips for creating clean, polished finished pieces
• How to design and personalize your own embroidery projects

We will meet on Tuesdays:  Sept. 7, 14, 21, 28 from 10-12

During the final portion of the workshop, you'll put your new skills into practice by creating an original project of your choice. Design a bookmark, embroidery hoop art, keychain, hair accessory, or another small keepsake that reflects your personal style.

Whether you've never threaded a needle before or are looking to refresh your skills, this workshop offers a fun, supportive environment to learn the art of embroidery and leave with handmade creations you'll be proud to show off.

We will meet once a week for four weeks. The dates are listed below, and the price covers all four sessions.

Materials:
Bring your own supplies, or purchase our optional beginner embroidery kit, which includes 12 sheets of premium felt , a needle, hoop, and 10 colors of embroidery thread to use throughout the workshop. Perfect for learning stitches, experimenting with color, and creating your final piece.
