The Great Artists Series with Betsy Beach. These fun classes for kids - and their parents if they would like to join in - are a three part study of Matisse (March), Van Gogh (April), Monet (May). Students/families can register for one, two or all three classes.
Each class will include a discussion of the artist’s intent and how his technique enabled him to achieve his vision.
MONET, Saturday, May 2, 2-4pm
Claude Monet is most well-known and beloved for his iconic paintings of the Japanese bridge and waterlilies at his home in Giverny, France. Students will study Monet’s endless fascination with capturing the elusive effects of sunlight and shadows and will experiment with their own version of waterlilies in chalk pastels.
Teacher: Artist Betsy Beach moved to Greenville from Connecticut and we are so excited to have her share her art with us. Read more about about Betsy - click HERE!
