Floral Expressions: Mixed Media for Beginners

Ready to explore florals through the art of mixed media?
Think: soft watercolor petals outlined in ink, delicate graphite sketches accented with vibrant washes, and pastel blooms layered over paint.

Join us for a four-week floral art journey that blends dry and wet mediums—pen, ink, watercolor, graphite, and pastel—to bring your botanical artwork to life! Each week, we’ll explore techniques for creating expressive floral compositions filled with texture, depth, and color.

You’ll learn how to combine line work, shading, and washes to craft everything from loose garden studies to refined floral illustrations. We’ll start by introducing all materials the first week—no need to buy everything in advance! You can try each medium and choose what fits your style best.

Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced artist, this class is all about discovering your personal floral style, experimenting with new tools, and capturing the beauty of nature in bloom.

We will meet every Thursday from 10am-12pm for four weeks. The dates are below, and the price covers all four weeks.

We will send you a list of suggested materials after you sign up. This way, you have everything you need to keep practicing and playing on your own between group meetings.
