Jewelry Camp Photoshoot

I loved teaching a fun crew of girls an introduction to Jewelry Design Camp this summer.  The girls got to sift around my cache of jewelry baubles: vintage beads, stones, brooches, and the like to pick out pieces for their collection.  Then each girl got to design their own necklaces, bracelets, rings, earrings, and headbands to wear for their Friday Photoshoot.

The girls got to pick out their favorite beads from a treasure trove I had been collecting for over a year.

Diligent Jewelry Designers

On Friday we had our Photo shoot - we lost half of our campers due to Summer Schedules taking them out of town, but these girls had so much personality that it wasn't a problem we were short a few...

I painted their nails, styled them with their baubles, and they wore their most fashionable outfits:

I loved sharing my love of jewelry design with these sassy young ladies.

Check out my photoshoot with Mary Maulden who had to leave a day early here

I can't wait to have another jewelry design session for girls over Christmas break.  If you have a 7-12 year old who is interested in making some jewelry for Christmas gifts (or to keep!) please keep your eyes peeled to the VVG site for sign ups in December!
