Come out and paint with either oil or acrylic paints with Phil Garrett, author of Inside Acrylics, on the headwaters of the Middle Saluda River in a true gem of The Upstate: Jones Gap State Park.
September 26th we will meet at 6:30pm for Orientation and Wine & Cheese at Phil's Studio to discuss the two day workshop. (If you can't make it to the meeting, no worries: we will email you an update of what Phil will be reviewing.)
September 27th & 28th we will meet at the Lower Parking area of Jones Gap State Park. From there, we will hike to our painting sites for the days' demo and setup. Class will end around 4pm both days, but students are welcome to paint till dark or park closing.
This class is limited to a minimum of 6 students and maximum of 15 students. Some Acrylic Paints will be provided by Golden Acrylics.
Students will be responsible for materials including: panel board, oil or acrylic paints, brushes, & easel. Students are responsible for personal transportation. Students are also responsible for a daily packed lunch. We will provide drinks and snacks. We will send you a supply list in September.
