I am so excited to be hosting local Greenville South Carolina Artist Jane Todd Butcher in the studio for a Mixed Watermedia Workshop March 14 & 15th.
This workshop will explore some of the many ways artists may utilize mixed water media and collage in their watermedia paintings. Collage, gesso, and mixed media may be used as simple accents, or to provide texture in your watercolor or acrylic paintings... or as the basis for a whole new painting approach. The choice is yours.
Advanced Beginner to Advanced level artists will find new ways to enhance their paintings and add pizazz--whether you work in watercolor or acrylic, in a realistic or an abstract manner. Suggested materials may include stained or white rice papers and tissue, fluid acrylics, as well as any other materials you may want to include in your work. The emphasis is on experimentation, color, and design--and how to resolve our wonderful beginnings into finished paintings.
A materials list will be provided. Artists may bring a bag lunch (we have a refrigerator) or buy lunch at the delicatessen next door.
